Well, I took the dive and treated my whole tank with levamisole soluble drench powder. These AEFWs have to Go. First Treatment went very well. Along with the worms, I lost some mini brittle stars, but that seemed to be it. This in tank treatment is still considered experimental, but I had to do something about these critters. They have destroyed my most favorite corals... my Millis. Without them, the enjoyment of the hobby is not the same for me. The first treatment will be followed up by 3 more treatments in 1 week intervals in efforts to get all the fresh hatchling. I will follow-up with treatments every 6 months just to make sure that they are kept in check. Here are a few pics after the treatment. Not bad for a tank killing chemical. I may regret that one day, but sometimes we have to take risks for the advancement of the hobby. I will keep you all posted. Please feel free to ask any questions.

It would be awesome if it helps. Knowing there is a way to kill the actual worm is comforting to know. If u wantto go an extra mile. U might want to go in and glue any area of exsposed skeleton or dead area of the sps to encase the eggs so they have no chance of hatching. Keep the updates going and hope u get through

Tank still looks great Banks. Good luck with your treatment and I hope all goes well for you buddy.
I'll be starting my treatment this friday. Wish me luck.

Thanks Paul, So far so good.. I saw some really wicked polyp extension this morning on my SPS.. What made me smile the most was the extension of my Milli frags that survived the attack, but has never show any polyps or growth in the year that it has been in the tank. Two days after the treatment and I have polyp extension and tiny growth tips! If that's not proof that this treatment is the real deal, I don't know what is. Now it's all about being dilligent with follow-up treatments and hope that there are no long term negative effects of levamisole..

I agree. This could potentially be huge for the hobby.. There are some that I can get at to glue and others that I can not becuse of size, obstruction or otherwise. Great idea though... to limit the amount of viable eggs!

Hey Jarrett, Thanks Bro. It really does man... Damn things make you feel helpless.. Hopefully, through these Levamisole treatments, we can keep them under control or maybe even eradicate them..

Did Second Treatment on Monday and After basting with a Turkey Baster, I witnessed flatworms coming of my most infected colony alive after an 8 hour treatment. Up until now i have been leaving my skimmer on with the top off during treatment, which may be affecting the concentration of the dosage.. Next treatment will be this coming weekend. I will leave the skimmer off for this treatment and up the dosage... Wish me luck guys!

Thanks dubcity03

Just finished the third Levamisole treatment. This time I used the 5grams in total. Phosphate has spiked as a result of the die off from the treatments.. However, the tank continues to look ok.. The fish all seem to be fine as well. No notice of AEFWs today while basting... 3 more treatments to go..

Well, I have always trusted my instincts in this hobby and I decided to stop treating after three treatments of Levamisole. I found certain corals stressing, fish appetites being suppressed and TN for what seemed like no reason with one of my caps.. I totally lost my ponape BN, but happy to know that a buddy down the road has a colony that has grown from mine so that I can recover it.. I'm glad that it has worked for some, but I am at the point where I feel Levamisole is better suited to QT tanks only, where only corals will be treated. Here are a few pics from today..
