a week from tomorrow! with all this frickin rain I don't think I'll have the stand done. It might be close. (aka the last coat of clear drying) Lights are mostly in at ronen's. I'm waiting on the 150hqi ballasts to arrive. (Icecap has been out of them)

The sump is done. Today I'm ordering my oceansmotions stuff. Tuesday I'm ordering my Deltec and the ACJr stuff. It's so close I can taste the salt water. . .

Speaking of salt, where is the best place to get it nowadays?

I also am going to need a few *CHOICE* pieces of rock. I somehow think the stuff from the 20 won't fill the new tank.

BC, you can choose from my marshal island stuff and some select fuge stuff here. (I have a nice tonga slab piece covered with goodies as well)

Let's not forget that you have a bucket full of dead rock here - I should get that into our system asap to start the "live" process so you can pick and choose what you want from a mature system.

LMK if you want me to do that - also I have a nice large rock in your 20 that I think you'll like. For a price of course Mwwwhhaaahhaaa

Today I:
Cut all the trim pieces, and didn't run out of walnut!
Cut the biscuit slots in all the maple.
Got the biscuit slots cut in the stand door trim.

Tomorrow:
Finish slotting the trim pieces. DONE
Sand all the trim. THere's a few high spots from the router table. DONE
Stain all the trim DONE
Sand the maple. Maybe Stain it DONE With the Canopy. Stand is waiting till I get the doors slotted.

Glue trim pieces on. I only have 4 long clamps, so I'm stuck doing 1 or 2 pieces of trim at a time. Hopefully it will be nice and hot so the glue sets up quickly.

This week:
Slot the doors for hinge reinforcement
Cut 1/8"x1/2" steel for hinge reinforces. Drill and tap holes if I get the time
Mortise the stand frame for the hinges.

Put it all together.

3 coats of Spar Urethane on everything. White oil based for the inside of the canopy and stand. (I should have painted them before. WOuld have been so much easier!)

Now it's time for beers.

No, I was busy working. Now I'm waiting for stain to dry.

Here's 2

The first one has one extra piece of walnut in the middle of the pile so you can see the difference.

The second is a piece of stained trim against a scrap piece of stained maple.
