Holy Grail now at TerraReef Aquaculture!

This variety of Micromussa is a new offering from TerraReef, but any true coral collectors will recognize it immediately. Those with a sharp eye may have noticed it in the corner of our last post. This is the "Holy Grail Micromussa Coral F2M". The species name is believed to be Micromussa amakusensis which some in the hobby refer to as, “The original Micromussa” as they have remained a part of this genus and traded under that name as far back as anyone can remember. Just a few years ago these corals were extremely expensive, but because of aquaculture efforts they have become much more affordable. Their care requirements are virtually identical to Micromussa lordhowensis which they resemble closely accept for the significantly smaller polyp size in M. amakusensis. This coral came through quarantine the same time as the Raging Storm Micromussa we shared yesterday using the same procedures.
