Found baby jellyfish and wondering how to care for him

Hmmm very interesting, thank you! Maybe today I can go to my fish store and ask what the little guy is. Also this has actually made me want to invest in a jellyfish aquarium! Now I just have to convince my parents to let me have a 3rd tank!

Just found a second one! Probably the jellyfish polyp was on a piece of live rock I bought?

YES, it can be a jelly. There is a small species that has been known to pop up in tanks on occasion. I had one in my reef a long time ago and there is no mistaking it when you see them in person. From the video the locomotion looks correct, but I forget the species name off the top of my head I'll see if I can find it. Or it could just be the medusa stage of a Hydrozoa

They normally hitchhike in on liverock or corals and are smaller than a pea and all white to bluish.

I had this type of Jellyfish in the past....but it did not move around...and died shortly after (or at least disappeared)

That looks like a hydroid. Not sure though. I have never seen one in person

Rookie that's a hydroid.

The small jelly that can show up in tanks has an opaque dome and doesn't swim as frantically as the medusa, it's more fluid and you can see the tiny tentacles tucked under the dome.
