where have you guys gotten macro algae and which species is preferred?

People sell it on here and i know maximum reefs sells it. I use chaeto

If you're looking for display type macros...some of our vendors sell some and other reefers constantly either sell/give away certain types of macro in the marketplace.

thanks for the response, i havnt really considered display macros. i dabble in planted freshwater aquariums though, and am really starting to like the idea of plants in my reef also.

You are better off just calling your local fish store and asking if in stock, its $10 a portion everywhere I know. You can also buy it online at Reefs2go or Ebay.

People give it away on this site but #1 you have to wait and be monitoring the site or someone else will get the freebie and if you reply on time it may be $45 minutes from your house....get the picture?!
