Live sand

Can someone give me some sand from there established tank...it is for my sump/fuge...

Ha, I was just about to post the same thing in here. I need some live sand also. Anyone in Staten Island that can spare some?

I mean i got like 80 pounds of sand from my established tanks...but isn't it bad to take the sand from the established tanks because it will mess up the layers or microfauna?

So what is the difference taking it from some-one else?



The point of using a small portion of some-one's live sand that is in an established tank, is too "seed" your sand.
In time the "life" of the established sand will eventually spread throughout your sand bed.
