I will put the fish in my quarantine tank with the RBTA for a couple of weeks to let the candy cane heal. I was told that if you net the clown fish with the anemone they will have a better chance of hosting.

maroon clowns are known for being rough hosters

there is a chance the clowns will stress out the anenome leading to its demise and polluting your tank

and when anemones die, they stink and release alot of noxious toxins in the water

BTW PC's?

It sounds like an excellent QT setup. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem conducive to the health of an BTA AND 2 clowns. Depending on the setup of the display tank, you could put the Candy Canes in the QT, the BTA in the display and hope for the best.

you've sparked an idea.....candy cane in QT tank, and then make a basket out of eggcrate to house the rbta and clowns for a day or two in the main tank.

if an anemone wont do well in QT, what can be done for a little extra insurance before putting it into the tank. We tend to do a drip acclimation, iodine dip, and then place into QT.
