Just brought a 500 gallon from closet geek and need a sump for this beast of a tank anyone has one or could give me ideas the tank is 120x30x32 is a dream tank and don't want to rush the build if any one got any suggestion or an acrylic sump lmk

I would get a 200-300 gallon rubbermaid stock tank and use that as a sump and use a 100 gallon as a fuge. Divide the fuge into two sections - 1st section fill with macro then 2nd section cover and use as a cryptic zone and pile up rocks with sponges..

are you gonna put the sump underneath the tank or in a separate room? What are you planning on having in your sump?

tthe Rubbermaid stock tanks suck when it comes to evaporation. You should look into a bead or sand filter for biological filtration. It is cheaper and more efficient. Go with a smaller sump for a fuge and your equipment.
