WTB: peppermint shrimps

my seahorse tank and 90 have some aptasia and i would really like them gone:irked:. the bigger ones i can reach but its those pesky little ones that i hate. anyone have any peppermint shrimp? i need like four. if they are proven aptasia eaters then that is great. i have visited some LFS but their pepps are the size of my fingernail.

hey u should get a coral banded shrimp........ it worked wonders on my tank when it was covered with aptasia

i had one once and it didn't bother any of my corals. or did it? :scratch: why polyps did yours eat chief?

CBS. i never heard of them eating aptasia. although i have heard bad stories about them

They ate all but 4 of my yellow polyps and then started in on the Zoa's and mushrooms, I caught them before they got to really damage the zoanthids and mushrooms but the yellow polyps never came back
any aptasia was gone but

Becareful if you have anenomes.
I hear that peppermint's steals anenomes food causing it to starve and the anenome ends up :skull:

i got one i want to get rid of because i have a cleaner shrimp now thanks to ronen :biggrin: . one thing keep them fed and they shouldnt bother anything. i found i have problems with them when they dont get the right amount of food and would notice them harrasing corals and even taking a snack(one example inks galaxea but dont worry he lives:sgrin: ).i guess anything would take a bite out of a sessile animals if it is hungary(who wouldnt:eat: lol its not funny though:irked and they are not picky eaters.But as cheif said they do have evil ways sometimes.

but scarf i have to catch him again as i just caught him and left him in a net for a little while and there u go PRISON BREAK anyway i should be able to snatch his butt again. if u want him i can give him to u. and dont worry no camel backs here certified peppermint.
