freeze a few small bottles of water and put 1 in the 1st chamber of your sump. 300 gallons requires a lot to fluctuate so actually freeze the 2 liter bottles and keep them in there.

Start looking for a controller bro. That way when the tank gets to cool it will automatically heat the tank up with the heaters and when it gets to hot the fans will automatically come on until you get your desired temperature. A controller would be cheaper than a chiller in most cases. Start with the basics and then you can add on later if you want. Plus you'll have control of the tank even when your not home. I suggest the reef angel. $260 something gets you in the door. Everyone else will probably suggest the apex which someone is selling all the time on here. Might find a great package deal on one here. Pretty sure someone is selling one.

Ice in a bottle is a temporary way to bring temps down. It will be warm in 20 min and you have to put in more. You want the cheapest way use a fan or go get a air conditioner

+1 for ur size tank bottles of ice water will not last too long 20min tops unless u have a lot of bottle to switch them every 20 min u probably good for that option but it has to b a few bottles at the time 1makes no diference I would definitely invest in a chiller.

I bought two click on fans for my 75 G and hook. Them up to my apex with an ac unit. Try fans but If the room is extremely humid like last week Wednesday u would need an ac to take the humidity out of the room
