Live Rock from TBS?

Just wanted to know if anyone was going to order any live rock from Tampabaysaltwater.com anytime soon? I need a few pounds and dont want to order a big load of it for my nano tank.

Let me know what you're looking for - HOF has a good amount of Live rock in stock covered with life - it is a mix of marshal isalnds, tonga branch, fiji etc. Shoot me a PM for what you're looking for and I can bring to you Wednesday if needed. It is cured and live running in our systems.

I would not use TBS rock. You get too much bad life along with the good.

Ask poor Ryan/reefer420 about his experience. His TBS rock contained a nice mantis that has killed everything he has put in his tank.

Thanx guys for the offers. I wanted some from TBS because of the mantis shrimp in part. I'm just starting up a new 15 gallon so all I have in it at the time is a piece of live rock and a small amount of sand. I dont mind the "problems" because I plan on taking my time with this tank. If no ones going to be getting any from TBS I'll take Jim/House of Fish up on his offer ...from the way things are looking I'll be PM'ing you Jim

What type of rock are you looking for? Pricing varies according to type. We have Fiji, Marshall Island, Tonga branch. Pick your poison and we can give you a quote. Also, do you want large pieces or rubble or something in between?

If you get rock from TBS i would do the hyposalinity dip to rid it of pests. But since you seem to prefer that, then it shouldn't be an issue.

I'll see how this goes for a week, if I don't have any luck HOF will have my money I'll only need about 10-15lbs of med sized rocks its for my 15 gallon. Maybe Fiji. What's the prices of the different types HOF stock?

Thanx Jim. I had no takers on the TBS idea so I ended up gettin two nice sized chunks of Fiji from the Display with some coralline algaeon it and called it a day. They look pretty cool. Thnx for the offer tho...I'll be gettin something from HOF soon tho
