I'm hoping for external to keep as much space in my sump available for fuge. Tanks stand is 30", price does matter however I'm open to get a good skimmer that I won't have to upgrade anytime soon. I figure a few hundred dollars if need be.
I've considered a G-3 & G-4 being that my sump is 48" long. I used a Euroreef on my previous 75 with no complaints but they keep switching up the models every two seconds and I can't keep up with which one's are best. They also really don't seem to be budging with the price range. I'm thinking about the octopus recirc. but I'm not sure if it's going to fit underneath my stand.
Almost forgot Bio high. No corals yet but preparing for it. I wan't to make sure I have a proper skimmer running however.
150rr 33g sump, Hamilton 6ft 3x250 & 4x96pc (only pc's running - need ballast for halides) 200lbs live rock- transfered 3mths ago from 3yr old 75.
Bio - I love tangs, I'll just say that.
House of Fish runs Bermuda Aquatic skimmers on our fish and coral systems - we love em and have sold a few on the board here. One of our holding systems has a BP-5c with a regular sedra 9000 - here it is in action - - We like to overskim though since we hold many fish in the system at any given time. The 3c is best for what you have, but if you have a higher bioload, I'd go for the 5 like we did.
If you're interested in the MR specials, please feel free to PM me and I'll price it out and recommend some pumps you'll need and want to consider.
Good Luck, welcome to MR and let us know if we can further assist.
