Looking To Buy A Bak Pak Skimmer, Prefferbly The Upgrades Version Or A Skilter Skimmer. Around Westchester If Possible. Ty Rick

w/ all due respect, bak pak or skilters are just garbage. save your money and get something like a remora. i'm guessing you have a small tank since you want a bak pak.

I Have A 29g High Tank. Was Either Looking For One Or The Other Or Just Turning A Extra 20 G Tank Into A Refugium

Wether or not you make that 20 into a fuge, you're gonna still need a skimmer. A Good skimmer too. Keep that in mind.

I'm with scarf on this one. Save your money and get the remora like he said. It'll save you the headache of buying one of the two you mentioned and having to wonder why they don't work. :backtotop

i have a skimmer now, that really isnt pulling anything from the top of the water. so i was planning on making the 20 g into a refugium with a skimmer in the ref. only draw back is that i have to build a stand for the tank that i can put the 20g under. it's almost as big as my 29g both tanks are the high model. or would i be better just going and getting a 10g tank to do it with ? planned on making the refugium like my cpr hob refugium same design but a bigger version. question though. other than live sand and rock like i use now should i use any type of pad filter or bio balls ect ?{ oh btw i am a father of 2 so money at holidays is kinda important } would love to have a $10,000 set-up, but ya know. and would go to a bigger tank, but i hate to move everything and transfer all my stuff. did it with freshwater and said not again. plus this tank is really for my 2 yr old. she love's sponge bob and wanted nemo's

Father of 2 here as well I completely understand. I am getting some cash for the holidays and usually I pool it for computer and fish schtuff. BTW what skimmer do you have now? And FYI the bakpak and the skilter are a complete waste of money been there done that. Seaclone and prism are equally useless.

lol most of my xmas money went for anenome's few mushroons polyps and such. i can either buy one bigger thing or a few small one's. so since i dont want to run a bubble stone to clear top of water. figured better go for upgrade, { not fun stuff } but important. i think i have been really lucky so far. i got a pretty nice african cichlad tank over a yr old. they are monster's though,they tear stuff up. and after a few waste of money buy stuff i learnt alot. and thats what i hope to get from this site. ask alot of questions, get alot of opinions. find a happy medium. i will say i look forward more to seeing this tank grow. i have a few thing's growing out of rock and just found a baby snail today. wife laughs at me like a little kid in a store window. would love to find other's up where i live that wants to do group buys later or meets. always interested in seeing new store's. and tanks. so hopefully i dont drive people nuts with questions.
