18 watt light

something smaller, like 17" to fit ontop of a 5.5 i am using my light on my son's tank and i think it is over kill for aiptasia and mojanos basically the light will be running at night while he is asleep and off during the day, so he does not need it to be too bright. so if you have a cheap fixture let me know

i have one that fits a 10-gallon with a 18-watt flourescent. It's 18 inches in length... you can have it for something cheap in your tank i guess... even some pieces of rubble

oh and how old is the bulb? and what type of bulb is it? i had an 18 watt fixture that cracked on the end so i don't want to use it, but wondering if the bulb is the same since mine was only 1 month old

its some kind of bulb called vita lite. its old i guess since i havent used it in yrs... if you cant find anything dont worry about it, just take the light

is it a tube fluorescent? if so that is not what i am looking for i would prefer to get a bulb with the pins on the end
