there's a place on brooklyn that buils its ouw nano's, lights and fuge included, but I don't think it has a skimmer. I think the 12 gallon size is around $279. Looks like a cool little set up, they have about 6 up an running in the store. If you want to travel to brooklyn and check it out, I'll pass the store info to you. I may go there today, so I'll get more info.

You could just buy a 10g aga tank, Remora skimmer, Aqua Clear 70 HOB filter, a good 20" PC Light kit (I like the Orbitz 80w...but there are others) and a 50w heater. Simplest setup I can think up...you could save money going cheaper on the skimmer and lights, but I think that set up is pretty solid.

okay, here are some specs, I'll go back tomorrow with a camera and post some pics and get exact measurments. I will also post this in the general discussion threads to see if there is any intrest in a group buy. Owner said he'll come down on price with a group buy.
XL-22 gallons $280
L- 15 gallons $235
M- 9 gallons $190
S- 5 gallons $150
All have the filters built in. They do not come with skimmers. Pumps used are Rios and you have the choice of 9-19 turnover times per hour. XL-M all have 2 8 watt T-5's 1 10000k and 1 actinic blue. The lights are in a fixture with the mounting legs. Small size has 2 6 watt T-5's.

Thanks for the replies fellas.....

Chris:
Sounds interesting. I'd like to see some pics of the set-up.
I was actually looking for a cheapo, like JBJ (I know) or even Eclipse........or even this:

Not really going with coral in it.

I might be interested in the 5 gal.
Keep me posted, if there's a GB.

Reefer420:
Thanks .
I already have 2;)
Trying to have a smaller contained unit.

alistair:
Thanks for the offer.

froggie:
A basic will be good enough.

You're not going to put coral in it... LOL. I saw your gallery, you'll fold. I said I'd never get a tank bigger than 55 gallons.
Either way, the set up you showed from e-bay is similar, only the filter is internal instead of external. Lighting fixtuer looks similar too, only it is T-5 instead of PC.

I think that $44 dollar job from e-bay is the best thing I've seen so far as far as price. 1000 Island isn't even building those nano's that I showed you. They were pissed that I walked into their warehouse where they "build" their tanks. Hey, my bad on showing it, I just thought since I saw you were looking, I'd show what I saw while I was out. Savage posted a pretty good nano that was a lot cheaper and even comes with a stand. If you want to go to Jersey.

If you can wait about a month I will have a wonderful Nano ready for you. It is 15G about 4 years old and is perfectly balanced.

I have 2 36W PC over is along with 2 13W PC over a small in tank refugium. I have a HOB filter that houses a small coralife skimmer. 2 powerheads a Ebo Jager heater, metal stand, eggcrate top. The sand bed is well established and has not been disturbed since it was started. It is a deep sand bed on one third (4") and about 2" the rest. I am keeping the live rock but will throw in some coral frags.

Make me a reasonable offer if you are interested.
