This beautiful cowrie was found on a nonphotosynthetic purple Carnation coral. These cowries are difficult to see because they match their host coral perfectly. Inspect new corals closely, and dip new corals before adding them to the tank to prevent coral eating cowries. Manual removal is the best treatment.
