It’s 7/17/17 and our featured coral of the week is coming to us from Joe Knows Reefs.  This coral that Joey Nichols is working on is a new one that we haven’t seen before.  Joey hasn’t even named it yet and he’s looking for some help naming this stunning acropora species.  If you can think of a name for it please post it below or list it on the Joe Knows Reefs Facebook page. It’s not often that we write articles about freshwater or brackish aquarium topics, but this filtration system designed and built by Steve Bashi, is both beautiful and functional. We thought our readers would like to see this innovative Bashsea design. The new filtration system was built to replace 4 separate filter tanks on a 12 year old 500 gallon tank. The old system had become too difficult and impractical to manage. Vinny (GHL & Fauna Marin USA) reached out to us for help designing this setup for one of his clients and I worked with Steve to produce this custom signature series setup. Good morning folks, sorry for the lack of postings lately I am once again working on more projects than I care to take on giving me zero time to jump on the computer. I am trying to get all my St. Eustatius photos like this giant hermit crab I posted today ready for key-wording and sent off to be copy-righted at the US copyright office, a process that takes forever..
