Earlier this year, I interviewed Scott Crowe of OSA Corals and in that live interview, I boldly stated my mission statement for this year. For those of you who have not seen the interview, my mission for this year was to highlight aquaculture and conservation (what we are doing to combat the dire situations), spreading awareness and positive messages about the sustainability of our hobby. This was before the whole Indo ban, and those that are close to me know that this is something that I am extremely passionate about.
With that said, working with ORA has been in the works since mid 2016. (If I remember correctly, it was right before Global Pet Expo) After months and years passed by without fruition, Jordan Noe (my contact at ORA) and I just said, “Let’s just pick a date already and get on with it!”
From that, this video was made. Close to 2 years of waiting was finally over.
A few months ago, I met up with the ORA crew and I learned a great deal about the world’s largest aquaculture facility, one of the pioneers of captive breeding and aquaculture efforts, and asked some questions that I thought you guys would have wanted me to ask. (even some that made Jordan little uncomfortable) Grab a chair, take a look and enjoy. It’s a long one but it’s worth your time.
