One piece of advice that I often give to the new hobbyists is to buy the right product the first time so that you don’t waste money unnecessarily buying sub par quality parts then having to replace it again and again.

With everything that’s been happening in the world and in our hobby, it’s becoming harder and harder to find good, high-quality products at lower prices.

I used to tell people all the time that people at every budget level has a place in the hobby. While I still believe that, I also do understand the challenges that it brings as lower prices often mean cut corners and compromised quality.

With this new series, I wanted to create a section where I can recommend good quality products that are budget friendly so that we can accommodate everyone in our wonderful hobby. With that said, to start the budget series, I am introducing Eshopps’ newly re-designed c120 skimmer. It is significantly less expensive then some of the high tier models, provides good performance, and is made with quality and heart from Sicce.
