SPS Growth and Bulb Choice

What Ballast are you using? I agree that HQI OVERDRIVEN Radiums are hard to beat, but I find them too dull and too blue on either electronic or tar ballasts.

I'd suggest the Ushio 14k 400W (or the Giessman 14k if you want to pay twice the price for the same lamp ). These are in fact what Sanjay uses on Icecaps, unsupplemented. Pics of his system are easy to find, and IMO hard to argue with.

i'm using the reeflux 10k (3x400watt) with 4x6' vho bulbs and love the way it looks on coral vue ballast
