Ive brought all my acans downstairs into my frag tank so I can feed them without interuption. Ive been feeding a lot lately(mysis) But I lost three of four small colonies and Im wondering if its because of overfeeding? Anyone have some info please help. Dont want to lose anymore

its weird, there doing great I will feed them They grab the food and suck it in then a few days later I will go look at them and sometimes One colony will have a creamy jelly cover over them. I blow it off and its just a bone

When was the last time you calibrated your refracto? If you calibrated it recently did you use ro water or the pinpoint solution?

on my salifert kit the water is colorless which would mean zero, But Im sure its not correct. Today I scoped out my mag float with that little scrapper you glue to it to scrape yourglass, the blade inside the scraper which is the part thats in the aquarium was loaded with rust, This has to be the problem, what do you guys think

Is it melting or peeling? The reasons may be different for the two different scenarios.

From your statement that it's eating one day and then next day you see a brown jelly, I would say it's parasite-black bugs.

Yes one day they look great, eating, a few days later there covered with a creamy jell. I blow it off and there is just bone left. I dont see any bugs at all. You dont think the rusty blade had anything to do with it?
