Accidentally left alk pump on!!! HELP

Water is still cloudy after two 25 gallon water changed. I'm doing a 50 gallon change tonight. But does anyone know if it's a good idea to use less part a of the esv salt. ?


My thinking is if the new water is lower on alk then it will bring down the overall alk down more

Can you set up a tank or some type of holding container and move all the coral there while you get the tank's levels back? Possible even give them to someone to hold.

Wouldn't setting up a quarantine be the same as a 100% water change and shock the corals too though?

damn, sorry to hear that! I think I'll learn from this and only put about 5 days worth of dosing into my container vs full fill up. I know it's a bigger pain to keep refilling but who doesn't stare at their tank every so often?

I would break down crying if I had as much corals as some people and lost it all!

GL and hopefully you don't get discouraged and leave the hobby. Never a sign to leave but to UPGRADE!

It's purely my fault. I should have primed the line and leave the output line in the container till I was done. My chalices and everything on the sandbed survived And 2 Sps.

I wonder if there's a way to connect the Doser to an apex or controller to avoid this accident again. I know the apex doser would ovs work but idk about other companies that are compatible with apex/controllers.

Yes you can just plug the doser into the controller and set a failsafe if ph goes over a set amount to turn off.
