Nitrate issue

been fighting high nitrate issue for a while now. Seems to be stuck at 40. I've shaken the rock clean, sucked up all detritus, increased water change volume, and switched salts and a new ro/di unit.

Just changed 25-30% of the water last night and they are still at 40. Before and after.

Using new api test kit.

try another kit ? some test kits are way more accurate than others

What test brand do you guys find accurate for nitrate?

I had some dip strips laying around that showed the same.

Update...since changing my skimmer, and adding a reactor for gfo and gac, my Phos and nitrate are testing 0.

I find that elos test kits are the best on the market for any kind of test.

So did you end up changing your kit or just skimmer and gfo?
