thanks forgot to mention I tried a couple different shacks and microcenter and all did not carry . Kinda stumped .

If you need one that's out of the ordinary and Radio Shack doesn't carry it, you're basically forced to turn to online.

Digikey and Mouser were my 2 big suppliers when I was doing any sort of electrical stuff if you have to go that route.

I going to call some shacks in queens. what se ction in queens was the.shack that had them? I was hoping to buy locally and avoidthe.shipping for a $4 item and waiting.

Every radio shack I've been to in the city carry potentiometers. They are usually in the drawers near the buttons, 99.9% of the employees will not know what the hell you're talking about. Go to the back and check out the drawers with "resistors" and "LED" on the labels and you'll find your pots.

Try http://www.jayso.com/ there in the bronx on white plains rd. Call them first with the specs you need..

FYI... Depending on what specs you need, you can also swipe them off of any old piece of equipment. Old stereos, guitar pedals, car radios... They're one of the easiest pieces of equipment to salvage.

What are you using it for? You may also be able to get away with a rheostat.

Thanks guysl I was able to pick it up at the shack in queens. The few I checked on li did not.carry.
