My JBJ K-2 Viper light is too big to clip onto my tank so I need to rig something up behind it. I went to Home Depot to get a piece of wood but they don't do cuts in Manhattan because no ventilation. Anyways someone across the street was throwing out one of those ikea book shelves so I grabbed one of the edge pieces. Now I need some help cutting it down as I don't have a saw. If anyone happens to be near BK Heights and can either help me or let me borrow a saw I would really appreciate it.

your local hardware store may cut it for you. there is a lowes in redhook as well

Check the lowes near kings plaza, I know they cut glass and acrylic. Call them and ask if they do wood.

You could borrow my saw, but for what it would cost you to get to NNJ you could almost buy yourself a power saw of your own.
That said, why not pick up a $10 hand saw and cut it? Even if you don't use it often, it's always nice to have one around for small projects.
