I'm lucky enough to have a really talented millworker build my stand and canopy for my new 150 build. He told me to bring in some reference pictures to give him an idea of what I want.

Google search just brought up aquarium manufacturer stands and raw DIY plans.

I'm looking for finished stands to get an idea of what to have him do. I'm putting T5s in the canopy so I'm looking for a solution for that.

He's building it tomorrow so please post pics!

That's funny you posted that. I took a screen shot of the same stand. Thank you.

Any ideas how to mount my ATI T5 in a canopy? I know heats the issue I plan on having vents on both sides and the top. I need to be able to get in the tank as well as change the height

Be careful mounting an ati fixture inside a canopy, no matter what I did to try and keep it cool it still ran very warm, i have the dimmable sunpower, it would actually start shutting itself down due to high temps. I had holes on the top, and airflow through the sides, even tried fans. Just my experience with it that's all.

First hand experience is awesome, maybe I'm under estimating how hot they get. I have the 8 bulb powermodule. I was planning on getting something more significant then PC fans on one end, and then use AC ducting on the other going through the wall into the filtration room. making the light similar to the in line lights that are used for indoor gardening. They have small 4 inch in line fans used for the same purpose as well.

Just keep an eye on the bulb temps, get yourself one of those laser thermometers that you can point at the bulbs and get a reading, if the bulbs get to hot they significantly lose there par. I had 6" fans bringing fresh air in, and big fans exhausting the hot air out.
