Hello MR - Here is the stand that I have put together for my tank, I have used 1515 profile, Please let me know if there is anything else I should do to make it more strong...Extension on the back of the stand is for plywood for me to stand and work and front will have three legs that will add the support the front, Reason why I have it extended this ways is because this will be going in the wall and due to 2x4" in the wall I had to put legs 7 " behind the wall and three front legs will be sitting on the footings of the house..

I totally understand and follow the design. Just not sure why you didn't frame it with traditional framing lumber? What added benefit do you get from that design? The cost is also incrementally higher than standard lumber.

Warren, I can see that, but the RS is skinned with laminate and that system is expensive. Saves space in the stand. However, Ravi's is in wall and should, at least theoretically, be less space confined.

I went with this choice because it is modular and second it is stronger and less clutter because I want to add 250 gallon abs container under the stand and i will have all aggressive fishes in the sump and I want to be able to see the fishes, Stand has is in place in the wall already as shown in the pictures, There will be three legs on the front supporting the front of the stand, They are being shipped..

Ravi, to be honest , looks scary to me, only 6 points of pressure , right to the edge, those Aluminium plate looks to me like 2"x 4", there is a lot of pressure.

I will have full frame on the bottom all I need is one more support, Support in the middle is much stronger than support on the bottom and this stand is sitting between 4"x4" posts, But I will add more support if needed...

Extruded aluminium support lots of pressure, hold easy the Tank, i was worry about concrete , if you have a full frame at bottom , the pressure will be all around so concrete never crack. I see a platform of concrete there, made by 2x4 around .

But below the concrete there is slab, I don't have basement on my house so that raised concrete has rebars to it wont crack and below that is solid slab.. should I still be concerned?

Depend, how well the concrete job is done , I see concrete platform holding just a air compressor, then crack. That way I suggest full frame, will share the pressure better than 6 points , in special when is close to edges.

I see your point Vio and it is very valid point, I will make frame on the bottom, Anything else you see that I can do to make it more secure, Once tank goes on and filled with water there is no going back ..

Bottom frame will not increase structural integrity at all. How many millions of metal framed aquarium stands have successfully been used for decades that have only four points of contact do you need to confirm this?
