Hello Reefers,
Here is what I have done for my skimmer neck cleaner. This has been running from 5 months already with no issues, Parts are available from lowes and ebay and they are pretty generic, Please let me know if you have any question, It took me 2 hrs to adjust and find the sweet spot when I had to adjust the scrubbers and align them to the center of the neck of my skimmer, It has been programmed with my apex to come on for 15 seconds every 2 hrs. It is simple design and you don't have to pay ton to money to make it work. It cleans 15" of skimmer neck area so no gunk is ever built on the inside and skimmer run efficiently. List of parts below
12v High Torque Motor from Ebay - 12 bucks
1/4 X 1/2" threaded -John J - 3.9
1/2" Threaded to Slip coupling PVC
1/2" Pipe
2 Shower glass door wiper from dollar store
2 scrubber part taken off a dishwasher foam
