Creo,

Jon and the rest of the gang are referring to the word "cure" as in the sense of when the rock is chemically stable to put in a tank. If I'm not mistaken you are speaking of "cure" as the structural strength of concrete. So you guys are both right.

Steven

P.S. By the way, what line of work are you in that you do cylinder tests?

Okay so I'm still making aragocrete and still doing good with it....1 week ago I made a piece that was about 6 pounds, slammed it right in after soaking in RO water for only 2 days...No ill affects....no ph jump..I used 1 part portland #1 and 4 parts crushed coral... I was actually aiming to push the ph up a little and stop using baking soda for ph buffering...I use cooked baking soda as my B part for alk and Calcium Chloride...I will be stopping the use of that for Calcium Hydroxide as soon as it runs out...I'm really starting to like this a lot and understanding its affects on the tank more and more and loving the shapes a couple of you have been to my home and seen the shapes and amout of purple... I will soon make circular rock with purple monster and purple nana frags all over it about 6 to 8 frags....I will def post pics because I think this idea is going to be nice...
