it works fine. not a single bubble enters the display via the return nozzle.

have you run a fail safe run yet? shut off your pumps and see how much water returns into your sump?
always a good thing to do with a new setup, it dosen't seem you have very much holding room for overflow.

yes. actually it was the first thing i did. it's perfect.
i recently replaced that 40 gallon sump with a 75 gallon tank, mainly because i wanted a larger refugium. i am loving it. although, i am getting approximately 5 gallons of evaporation a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have since added glass tops to the 75, but it's still heavy on the evap. 8O
