JS skimmers!

in this thread i will be posting up how to make a wetneck, difuser plate euro clone! basically a bubble king. As you can see shaun, johnatan is real serious about their skimmers. they have brought over some serious hardware, 7.5 cell cast acrylic tubing, that's right not extruded.

im gonna start on trying to make the funnel shape if i fail, well then i fail LOL!

we need thumb screws 1/2" head and 1/4th threading
NPTF tap for john guest fittings 1/4th
8 inch O rings for the flanges
1/4th router bit for the flanges
Uniseals 1 inch PVC piping
Gate valve 1 inch
Ocean runner 2700

various PVC fittings elbows etc..

spykes don't blow up your house trying to make the funnel necks!
do you think they improve the effectiveness of the skimmer or are just for looks?

also I still need to cut the smaller size tubing let me know what size you want.
we can do the CA reactors if your circle idea works.

Those are gonna be some pretty nasty gunk pulling skimmers and their gonna look nice too. Can't wait for the progress shots.

oh by the way i like the name JS skimmers, but what about making it JSD skimmers, give yourself some credit, next up the JSD CA reactors

I still have the really thick arylic, and do you want the 3/8" white plexi i have?

white acrylic would be nice 3/8th; to make some flanges for it hehe. JSD didnt sound nice plus it's spykes's JS skimmers

you want to use 3/8 and 1/2 for flanges? isn't that a bit too thick?
I was thinking to use it for the base.

3/4" combined flanges won't be too thick? I guess you can rout an indent for the o ring then.
