Okay so I have been making my owns rocks for a while now.. I like the fact that my rocks have some well needed qualities that live rock can't do, not to mention I'm doing my part to slow the destruction of the worlds coral reefs.. I thought of a new idea a while back and I finally got to put it into play today...
For manhattan reefs i decided to make the first rocks of this type.. I like this forum and it was the first i joined...
Thanks for viewing my new project..

That is bad ass! I can't wait to see someone put that in their tank and cover it with zoanthids.

I think it would be poetic justice if you did it :)
How about growing the official MR Kiwi Zoa all over it?

...and Tobin, you definitely have too much free time on your hands...lol

I would only put this in a 125 or bigger system because it would raise the ph over 9.2.. Which never killed anything in my tank but it just sounds crazy.. I had 10.2 ph for a whole year one time with no problems.. I didn't have coral in my tank at the time though..

This will be ready for my sump in 1 week then 3 weeks until it's covered in coralline algae.. Then it's on the new owner on what will cover this rock acros table topping, Zoanthids, acans, or placed in some ones RO bucket to keep their ph up on their top off and make up water like me, there are multiple possibilities...

As for time, yeah I have had a lot of time these last 2 weeks... It's always like this this time of the year then right before thanks giving I'll get busy again..
I'll post pics of when it comes out of hibernation and hits the water... Then when it hits my sump for some color... Then if you want it Josh it's yours..

Thanks for looking people..

I just so happen to have a 9" by 7" slab that I have had in my tank for a long time that the ph is stabilized on... But it has a purple rim green cap on it... I could brake it of if you want Harry..

Let me check and see how the Real Estate looks in the tank. It might be to big even if you break it. You forget that my tank is way smaller than your gargantuan tank:lol2:

Fresh out the box..

Okay the kids woke us up early so I decided to check on the rock and it was done.. Well almost done just not total dried, but hard enough to move to ro water to cure(become hard enough to got into the sump and not crumble)..
