oh i wanted to bevel the edges of the doors but my damn routers motor blew so i told the guy it would have to stay square forf now till i get a new router.i can always do that at a later time.just have to paint the doors 1 more time

Did you prime it to seal the wood or use some kind of urethane under the paint?
Did you use a knot sealer so the knots wont show through?

I know I will be doing something like this in the near future.

with the black paint the knots shouldnt show through.as for seal i am going to paint first then polyurathane.i will have to go to the guys house and do that since you cant polyurathane for at least 7 days after paint is cured.i forgot to tell the guy that.im sure he wont mind as long as the wood is protected.

You could always laminate some Luan on the inside to add structural integrity.
