How many leds?

I have a 48"x24" tank. I'm looking for a Led fixture for the build. I like the acans but cant afford them. They have 120-140 leds for 36" fixture. And these diy kits have like 24-48 leds. How many do I need for a good color and coverage over my tank for sps. I'm thinking maybe two units instead of one long one. This is all new to me. So I need some direction.

you will need 2 48 led fitures . I would go with 36 blues and 12 whites a 2/1 ratio. Acan has so many leds because there 1w leds . If your getting your kits from rapidled there Cree 3w led

I just ordered 2 Ecotech Radions for the same size tank. I saw them on a 90 gallon before I ordered. They were amazing.

Went with Acan. The goods out weight the bad. Plus my lfs has three of them and they are awesome with corals.
