Same question. Thou I did already receive my pump, but would still love to make sure its enough to cover the flow appropriately.

google eheim 1262 flow curve chart. it will tell you how much you loose with each foot of head. then figure what your reactors require gph and you will know what size pump you need.

It sould be enough tho I hope

I just checked... At 5feet head height the pump will put out around 730 gph. Adding another 150-200gph for the 3 manifold outlets, I end up with 530gph. I would have preferred something closer to 650gph which is the average flow rate thru a 1"overflow pipe. But I think I may just throttle the overflow down a bit via gate valve and should be safe. Right?
Also, I have to manifold designs but don't know which K e is better/more practical
Option 1... Manifold built into the return line

Looking at your plans make me ashamed that I was just going to plan it the day of plumbing.

I would have prob grab option 1 it looks less pipes to run down and back

My plan was to grab the jebao DC 6000 pump with variable speed so I would have the option of toning it up or down if flow was an issue.

But at 500-600gph you're still at 5x volume so it should be ok
Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone
