Looks like no interest...

Sorry Ryan... I got too impatient and just ordered it!!! SORRY!! just couldn't wait any longer. I will post pictures and details when I receive it on Friday...

How should I go about breaking in the skimmer? Also, wet or dry skim?

Ok here it is...

I actually was setting it up while I was acclimating Friday's shipment.
Instructions that came with it SUCKED! But it was pretty Self-explanatory if you know what you are doing.

I LOVE it's performance and it is unbelievably quiet. Not used to my tank being so quiet. Within the first 12hours it was already pulling stuff out.

Tank Specs that it is running on:

75 gallon reef & 55 gallon fish holding tank (plumbed together)
30 gallon Long Sump/refugium
Really Small Bio-load
Reef Tank
1 - False Percula Clown lg
1 - False Percula Clown md
1 - Green Chromis
1 - Yellow Coris Wrasse md
2 - Cleaner Shrimps md
2 - Peppermint Shrimps md
Fish Holding Tank
1 - Yellow Tail Damsel
1 - LARGE red hermit crab (those of you who came over knows what I'm talking about)
1 - Powder Brown Tang 5"

Within 12 hours running it was already pulling out stuff.

24 hours gunk got darker

48 hours even darker

I believe that the skimmer is not fully dialed in yet. More to come.

One more thing that I love about this skimmer is that it consumes such a small amount of space. I was limited on space and this fits in NO PROBLEM.

Highly Recommended. Medium Sized skimmer that can support up to 150 gallons.

+1

Very nice performance for two days. I have a 75G with a 40G sump, just two fish right now and am thinking of getting a new skimmer.

Where did you end up buying it from?

Have you or anyone else verified the how many watts the pump consumes?

very nice will! god i cant wait to get mine now. someof those other skimmer take a few days to start producing anything but yours is doing great within 24-48 hours. so would you say overall are you glad you picked this one? did you have to do any small mods to it yet or tips you found out so far?

and mluz i think, dont quote me on this but i THINK he got it from ebay from the seller seaaquatics. its 219 on there and 9 shipping. i bought mine too from there 3-4 days ago. cheapest so far. the price for it everywhere is 249 + shipping
