H2O Freak...yes, generally as they mature, they darken. But also, genetics is also a factor(as deanos pointed out), but they all darken as they mature.

GET THIS: Today I was showing a friend the tank, and poof, the black clown was gone. I looked for 5 mins, then figured why not check the rear chambers. The clown had jumped into the rear chamber and was swimming around.
WHAT THE HELL? I wasnt doing anything, just looking like normal. Why would a clown jump?
Could somehting in the tank(hitch hiker) be scaring them? I havent seen anything, except a few mystery hermit bodies(Im not missing hermits though)
This is assuming that my missing clown had jump, and I couldnt find her.
