Set Up my tank yesterday and already have concerns?

Hi Everyone. I set up my low tech low light no c20 36 bowfront yesterday. I set it up around 12 yesterday and its still extreamly cloudy. Is this normal? I thought they cleared up in a cpl of hrs? I cant see the backof the tank its so cloudy. Also I thought I had 2 40 watt bulbs but really all I have is 2 20 watt bulbs. Is this enough light for low light plants? Please let me know so I can go get new lights if I need to.

what substrate did you use? rinsed?

i set up a 90 gallon this weeked,used live sand, it was somewhat cloudy for less than a day. keep in mind the sand was moist so it wasnt as much of an issue. not sure this helps ya at all

It will clear up in time.

Did you rinse the susbstrate?

I used Flora max and I didnt wassh it I figures since it wass sand not gravel I figured I didnt need to. So ok that helps me alot. Thanks JonnyJ Thirty6

The lights will be ok for low light plants.

The cloudiness will settle when the tank cycle more. I think the bacteria lumps the dust together.
