Start of a Koi Pond Build...

Koi Pond have been running for several weeks! Added 7 Koi fish. Now need to add lights, ornaments, decoys and some plants. The waterfall is a 2 tier amazing sound effect. Here is a few pics before filled with water. Took me about 2 months to completely dig the hole with just a shovel and pic ...all done by power "muscle"...just me! Lots of hard work, but I'm happy with the results.

Because I did not have shelving, I ultized the sandbags, also to protect the liner from being puncture from any branches or rocks...you never know "Mother Nature". The sandbags were made from the dirt I had removed from the hole.

Play sand was added on the bottom, underlayment and finally Liner Firestone 45m

Being we live in the Poconos Mountain, I wanted to give it the natural effect. So I used the rocks that I had digged up. Purchase River rock from Lowe's to give it an accent decorative look. Work in progress!
