nice - i used to keep these also. but they are so small. forgot i had them in my big planted tank lol

I had to invent some kind of foam for the Aquaclear filter so they won't get sucked in like this little guy did earlier.

Cherry shrimp and Crystal Shrimps will only eat together but otherwise tend to seperate from the other kind.

I love cherries though I recently lost half a dozen to a fricking gold fish! They were in a holding tank together....

Anyone got a remedy for my shrimp not to get sucked in my intake from AquaClear 20?I'm covering it up with light Floss but gets clogged easily.Is there a prefilter that would fit?

I used to use the round fluval foam when I had convict fry...........

Btw where do you get those cherry shrimp... Or any freshwater shrimp for that matter???

I remember 6 years ago when these shrimps were 6$ per shrimp. Then they discovered to use a sponge filter when breeding. When I hd them, I just took and aquaclear sponge. Cut a slit and inserted and rubberbanded it into the intake.

Yep that would work too .... The fluvial sponge I used cause it was right at hand at the moment

Yeah but it Clogs pretty easily.I've been using some kind of floss over it.

That's actually what I used to do too. And yes I had to clean it at least once a week..

I used a cut out fish net to cover the intake and ziptie it in place.
Most shrimp breeders use the fluval sponge or the fluval edge prefilter to cover the intake.
