Look at any kind of upgrades you may want.
I have the AWI Typhoon 150 and its a great RODI unit.
It has dual TDS meters and an inlet PSI gauge which is really convenient.
Im probably going to add an auto shut off in the future just so I dont have to monitor it as much.

I like the build of the AWI filters, the canisters are beefier and the whole unit itself feels alot more solid solid. I have a few of the extra canisters from BRS to I can compare the two. The quick fittings on the BRS are better than the AWI units unless they changed them recently. The BRS 5 stage splits their canisters into 3 and 1 separate while the AWI has a 4 filter bracket which I think is better.

I don't know if the filters themselves are better but im sure you will get 0 TDS from either the AWI or BRS filters. I like the rubber bushings on the BRS filters better because they don't fall out and they come out 2-3$ cheaper than the AWI ones for a set.

IMO, Go AWI for the units and BRS for the filter package refills. both companies are great on customer service and extra parts if something breaks.

I have 75 4 stage eco by BRS but i added to upgrade 150 GPD with the booster pump 8000 motor that PUSH faster and reducing WASTE water :) and be sure you get TDS meter too.
Bought it all from BRS too.

Its been running for about 8 month without problem or replace filters..

I only filling 5 gal every weekend for water change.

I hooked it up to washer machine cold line with Y adaptor

8 months? You should really check your sediment filter... mine is dirty in 1.

Should have a pressure gauge. Take note of the pressure with new sediment filters...then when u see a drop in pressure, that's how u know to change the sediment filter.
