Hmm is it normal for different color feathers to start growing out of now where? I cut of a mushroom of my mushroom rock and what do you know, under it lay a yellow feather. Now im seeing on one of my other LR a bunch of bluish red feathers... I think

Sorry, just missed you!

New tank is on hold until after March 2006 I think.

I will be away for the Olympics for about 6 weeks, so I haven't decided when I will be getting a new tank, maybe before, maybe after.

Also we are redoing the kitchen in Sept. so we'll see about time.

The kitchen construction will include a closet with a water line, drain, and big enough for a trash can. I will buy extra wood from the cabinets and refinish the entire thing myself once the tank is established. That way it will look slightly built in but can be disassembled when we sell the apartment. I would actually like to put a "bathtub" in where the tank will go, so any overflow goes down a drain in a simple tile floor.

Floods are my #1 concern.

I need to pick out 400W DE bulbs. what are my choices? all i've seen are IceCap10K&20K and PFO10K&20K. Are there others out there? and which would be better, IceCap or PFO? I would lean towards IceCap only b/c my ballasts are IceCap.

hey Josh, I share your same concern. I think I dream about this sometimes
you could have a something like a shower floor put in, but it would have to be a mud job, like cement, to bear the weight of the tank. that would surely handle any water concerns. you could turn it into a selling point when you move. look a shower in the living room, cool. or find another reefer to sell to. that would be the ultimate in tank safety, at least as far as your neighbors are concerned. and think about the easy water changes! sweet. If you want any help designing the stand or cabinets let me know, I'd be happy to help you.

LoL...been a busy weekend with all the MR folks. Fishin' and BBQin'. I just spilled a @$#$load of water on the rug. Thank god the parents are sleeping. This is what happens when you forgot that you left something running. Hopefully it won't happen again but I'm sure it will.
I'm just slow like that.

Late night and I dont know what to do.
