Bulkhead drain to close? Cadlight 100g

I just received my New cadlights 100g rimless. But the Drain hole is drilled 1/4" away from the overflow box. Is this going to work? Can anyone tell me the outer diameter of a 1 1/2" bulkhead and the lip between the threads and the outer ring. Thanks

I also found a chip in the glass on the corner.

I don't see how that can work...unless you cut the flange and gasket on the inside to fit but it will be very close and won't leave much room for sealant or the gasket material.

Ugh.

Would love to her what cadlights has to say.

I did call them. As soon as I opened it up that was the first thing I saw. He was trying to tell me they make all the tanks like that. And unless you state other wise they dont special drill them. He was telling me to shave the bulk head down. I think he took me as a moron. I told them I was going to get a bulkhead tomorrow and check for fitment. He was trying to sell me their bulkheads. I asked if they were special bulkheads for their holes" sarcastically".

from all the years I have been dealing with bulk heads I have not seen any custom ones made, did you send a pic to them??

This is the inside of the overflow. Messy is OK The rest of the silicone is pretty neat.

Cadlights is very particular with their builds, the silicone inside should look just like the outside.

Well for a first impression on this company its not a good one. The shipping took way to long and the tank is a mess.

I have had a great exp. with cadlight so far. The cadlight pumbling is Excellent and cut to size. Fitment was spot on on my 50 cube although it looked a little tight before assembly.
Andrew was great to dael with. I would ask for him if you are not dealing with him directly/

that one inch hole looks to tight.if they say shave the bulkhead tell them NO.if bulkheads were supposed to be made like that it would be made like that.dont understand why they made the bigger hole closer to the overflow then the 3/4 hole weird.

WOOOW.... My 70G in transit now I should be getting it Tuesday.. I let u now if that the way it is......Did u order just the tank or the hold setup??? I guess they will check the system if you order the complete system...Man that sucks..

I spoke to them yesterday. He was suppose to locate a tank near me and I was going to pick it up. But I haven't herd back from them and now its the holidays. I guess Ill be waiting another three weeks or more for a new tank. "AGAIN" Next time I pay a little more and get a custom tank. Lesson learned.

No I didn't yet. After I found the sharp chip in the glass I didn't even bother with it. Even if it did fit I cant have a chipped tank. Do you think they would use this tank as a display for sale in one of their stores? I don't think they would. So its not going in my house.
