i guess i agree with both side. for the most part everyone i have dealt with or spoken to seems upstanding and mature, so i did not have a problem giving them my name and number, but i did so in a PM since after all this is a public forum that you do not need to be a member of in order to view the post. Also, those members who have invited me to their homes and workplaces always made me feel welcome(and not shady)which led me to feel comfortable and friendly. i have to say due to my experiences, i would definitely extend the same courtesy shown to me. after all, it was these experiences, whether they be in person or online, that make me feel happy and proud to find and be part of a group that is always willing to extend their assistance:grouphug:. in return this has led me to feel always ready to assist another member in need( if possible). ( but of course i know not to be naive and always be aware of the would we live in)

i for one treat everyone shady until i get to know them.i have 2 kids to think of. i dont leave anyone alone for a second in my house especially someone who really hasnt been on here a long time. having a prank call is annoying but there are worse things that can happen if you leave your guard down. all im saying is i see alot of people leaving there number on a thread where everyone in the world can see it and things can happen like this.

That's not how I roll. If someone has so little of a life that he sits at home and pranks people must be a very lonely person.

I guess everyone has to justify their existance somehow- this is his way.

Again, my info, along with other city employees info-WAY MORE IN DEPTH THAN A CELL PHONE NUMBER had been leaked to an unknown number of sources and we all got letters stating what happened. I have all the means to protect me physically, so again I'm not worried about people finding out whatever they can from my cell #.

I have very little valuables other than my vehicles and the equipment in them, which unless someones into high powered cb equipment is useless, I have almost no jewelry and I'm single with no kids.

Now with that all put out there I'm sure many of you security interested people have had as I've been reading all over the forum multiple people from on here to your houses to buy frags and such....So what does it mean that the person has great reefer ratings as ypu guys say to rely on before dealing with someone in depth enough to give them your number or address? NOTHING!! A good con artist can make you buy his/her story for WAY longer than you'd ever expect and turn out to be "shady". The whole reason people get taken by who they least expected most of the time.

So pranks, no biggie. If someone comes to my house with bad intentions, they'll be met with severe consiquences, so I will continue to NOT treat everyone as shady until they prove to be.
