Do you name your fish?

So a recent thread got me thinking does anybody else name there fish?
I never named my fish before I got married but my wife insisted and came up with the names.
So she named them after finding nemo so we have two clown fish ones named Nemo, Marlin
A chromie named gill he died so we got another named Gills friend.
Royal Gramma named Dory
Crab named sebastian
Shrimp named Jacque

She didn't name the snails and hermits crabs.

Yes, I name my fish. I have
Goby Wan Kenobi, engineer goby,
Nemo, clownfish
Bob, new clownfish
Gary, turbo snail
Dorothy, hippo tang
Freckles, sailfin tang
Raoyal gramma needs a name...

I even name my corals.
ALF, green canycane coral
Flex, purple hammer coral

Yup i got a blue hippo named dori , i got nemo and black nemo, and benny the bi colored blenny and jawbone who is a diamond gobi all others have no names , yet i guess

She just told me the snails DO have a name there all named Gary lol after sponge Bob. I guess that's how you got your name too.
So the hermits crabs still are nameless.

Since they are hermit crabs, I would name then after hermits and hobos. Clem Cadiddlehopper comes to mind. We have a hermit here that actually has a boatlaod of money, but he's weird and sleeps under a bridge a lot and we call him Sumac for some odd reason.

Ummm... here's the thing.....
Nemo= Marlin's son
Marlin= Nemo's Dad
If/when they start spawning....
Does Marlin now become "Marlina"?
How does one explain the incestry to the fry? OR is it okay in the clownfish world? and if it is okay, does that make them "royalty" because incestry does have its ties to royal families? but I don't think that there is a precedent for incest and a sex change ever before in history..... just something to think about.

maybe so but I have a kid and I've seen more than my fair share of Finding Nemo so it just dawned on me as to how hard it would be for Pixar to do a Nemo Part 2 if that was the base line for the story =)

I think its ok for clown fish. In the movie as soon as marlins mate died he would have changed to female. That would of been hard to explain to kids.
