Silly me:smash: I should've read up on that. Was just curious. Always thought they were beautiful creatures. But after reading, seems thatmankind does more harm than good to mothers earth

You're wrong, they are not all protected. Most are but not all. You are correct though that they belong in the wild or left to large public aquariums that an provide the proper care and needs for them.

As I said in my first post MOST ARE PROTECTED, the post you quoted said that they are endangered. BIG DIFFERENCE Sheldon.

Yes, in your post you said protected which would lead people to believe that ALL of them are protected. And what makes them protected? Why that would be? Because they are an ENDANGERED SPECIES. If they are not on the ENDANGRED LIST, then they would not be protected. Nice try HOWARD.

For a species to be legally protected does not require that it be endangered, just that it is in imminent threat of becoming endangered. (Like coral- it is "protected" and caribbean acropora is illegal to even own in the US without a permit, or something like that)
