Duncan from Manhattan Aquariums. Went through tank upgrade and hurricane Sandy, it's been 4.5 years, and it's still thriving. Also a tan toadstool from some member on Reef Sanctuary, it's about 10" in diameter and 6" in height now. Both very boring corals, but they're my first.

In the 'good old days' (~1986) when you ordered LR from Florida/Keys, it came covered with ricordeas, polyps, encrusting corals, sponges and whatever grew there naturally. Sometimes when you put the rock into your tank a goby or shrimp, or even octopus would emerge!

I need to go thru some of my old pics and scan them into my computer so I can post them.

A green goniopora colony when I first step up a 10 gallon reef tank. Tentacles stretched over 4" long and was the size of a baseball. This was over 25 years ago.
