Sorry to hear.

If you left a large part of it, it may not be good. We can only speculate without having full information.

I would plan on doing a large water change as soon as you get home, and also get carbon running. If you dont have carbon reactor, just get a few bags of Chemipure and put them in your sump.

You need to get those toxins out of the tank.

Keep us updated.

Tank is a 92 corner plus a 30 gallon sump/ refugium. It was a green bubble tip anemone and when fully open about 8 - 10 inches. I have fish, zoas, polys, frogspawns, torches, a large cleaner crew, and other crustacians.

Do what have been suggested from above. If you do not have SPS or other sensitive live stock in the tank, I think it won't be too bad. It also depends on how much bio filtration you have in the system.

I have a 8" RBTA shredded by the vortech in a 29G Biocube for more than 12 hours. Water is milky when spotted. Detritus and remains of it, burns out the return pump but the inhabitants are all good.

Great minds...

At least I am not alone in my thoughts! :)

The filter sock is a huge question! If you have one and can have someone just take it out for now that would be great! Even i you ran without it for now, the bulk of the anem that has not decomposed fully will be able to be removed.

In any case, be prepared to do a nice waterchange when you get home. 80% is nice amount to get out.

I have some sad clowns when i get home. Are their any anemones that tend not to raom?

nem roam because it did not find the right spot in your tank. Once they settle, they usually don't move unless environments change such as cap over shadowing their light or major flow change due to movement of powerhead and or return inlet.

Good to hear. Now try to find out why your anemone die.

It seem that you said about it roamed a lot before it die-that indicates it's looks for a better environment for itself, so check the parameters of your tank to make sure they are proper for anemone before you put another in. Light and flow being the first thing to check then proceed with water chemistry.
