I have a 125 gal tank. There's a melunarus wrasse, blue hippo, scopas tang, 2 pj cardinals, 2 3stripe damsels, lubocks wrasse(there was 2) and a sunrise dottyback. So far I lost my diamond goby and a lubock wrasse. these guys disappeared without a trace. any ideas on what it could be?

How long are they missing? I've had small fish "re-appear" after 3 weeks! One little chalk bass showed up in my sump. If you have a lot of live rock with places to hide, they may show up. I'm not familiar with your type of wrasse, but I recently got 2 leopard wrasse. They bury themselves completely in the sand and I don't see them for days.

I was going to say the exact same thing. This is plagiarism. You stole what was in my head

The only difference was how long I've seen fish reappear.....I've seen 5-6 weeks actually. :knockedou

Also, check in your overflow and sump/filter sock.

Ok the rock is on the bottom glass but some how the goby made tunnels under all of them so there was some shifting in the beginning but the stopped a long time ago. he shared a hole with my pistol shrimp but he was always out shoveling sand and it's been a week since i've seen him. the lubocks doesn't bury himself but he was always skittish and hid in the rocks but always came out during feeding time but he does have alot of places to hide..it's been 4 days since i've seen him. I have a cave/tunnel that runs the length of the tank so i hope they're just hiding.

Do they keep disappearing at night only? I don't know if it works on shrimp, but I have a fish trap you could borrow. Do you have a brittle star? They've been known to eat fish, too.

Yeah my Diamond Goby loves to jump in the overflow as well.He loves giving me extra work right when I'm about to sit down and relax. As for the little fish(wrasse),If he did die in the tank, bristle worms will get rid of the body quickly.Sorry for your loss..it does suck when you lose a fish. :(
