I never had an issue with a mag float cleaner on regular glass but starfire is delicate. Ive been using a small piece of magic eraser once a week with no problems, no scratches & just dispose of when done.
i like this idea best so far, and your right SF is delicate and for what i paid for the 3 sides im not getting one scratch on it....

I've had low-iron glass on a few tanks and haven't personally noticed that it scratches easier than regular glass. I've heard that it does scratch easier, though.. As for me... I use an undersized magnet for the glass thickness (less pressure on the glass), I'm nuts about making sure there's no sand on the magnet, and I keep the magnet out of the tank when not in use.

Since reading this I realized it does scratch easier (Don't ask me how I know). Now that I am educated what 'scraper' is the best. Read in a thread here from last year the Hammerhead. Any other suggestions? Also what about the glass kit versus acrylic kit? Want to order the right thing the first time.

I also use the Tiger Shark Float on my Miracles Starfire glass. It doesn't scratch the glass, but I make sure it stays about 2-3" above the sand so I don't accidently get any sand between the float and the glass. I use a razor for the 2-3" to the sand.

Do you use the acrlyic kit or the glass kit? Am I right in assuming it doesn't come with either and I need to order that as well?

It comes with glass kit. I believe only the acrylic kit needs to be ordered separately.

Also, I first ordered the hammerhead for my 1/2" glass since thats the rating on the website, but I felt it wasn't strong enough. (It's enough to get the brown film though)
I contacted the company and they let me upgrade to the tiger shark and pay the difference.
